Hi, friends! Today I'm sharing my candle holder votives makeover. In the past few years, I have bought a lot of the plain, clear candle holders to use at Christmas.
I love the look of all the mercury glass votives, but everything in my kitchen and living room is gold. So I decided to see what I could come up with using gold paint.
I used Aleene's acrylic paint in gold. It has a pretty gold shimmer to it.
I put 3 light coats of paint on it using a sponge brush. I made sure it wasn't perfectly coated, so that the candle light would show through.
To give it a winter look, I added some snowflake appliques and added the ribbon. I attached the ribbon with glue dots. I love using them for light weight items. It is so easy to remove when you are ready to change the look for a new season.
I only had 2 of the snowflakes left, so I added one that I can use in the spring.
This was such an easy project to make, and I love the way they turned out.
I love those simple projects, and they don't get much easier than this one. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit! Happy crafting, friends!

I need good re seller hosting, a friend of mine recommended me www.elcoplanet.com have you ever heard about them. i have checked there web site and it seems that they offer chip prices and good performances unlimited web hosting space and unlimited bandwidth.
Elcoplanet.com are ok, I used their services few years ago, nowdays I am using www.eaglehsot.info and their Alpha Reseller package, I can see now they have Super Alpha Reseller so I can try it when I have more money , I am kidding www.eaglehost.info are pretty cheap because they have own network compared with www.bluehost.info or www.ixwebhosting.com they are maybe popular but they are just resellers, so www.eaglehost.info is my recommendation, go for it
Really very useful and Informative information are provided here.
