Hi, friends! Today I am sharing my family's favorite Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad. My mother played in a Bridge Club many years ago, and one of the ladies always served this salad. She had a friend who had a catering business, and this is where the recipe came from. It's the perfect addition for any meal.
Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad
1 head cauliflower
1 bunch broccoli
1 onion (grated)
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Chop up all the above and add to a large bowl. Make the dressing below:
3/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup sugar
1tsp vinegar
Pour the dressing over the chopped vegetables and chill for several hours.
For an extra treat, fry and crumble bacon over the salad just before serving.
Chop up the broccoli and cauliflower and add the grated onion.
Mix the dressing until smooth.
Pour the dressing over the veggies, and add the grated cheese. Place in the refrigerator for several hours to chill. Stir well before serving.
This is such an easy salad to make, and it is so delicious. This is one way I can get all of my family to eat their veggies!
I still haven't figured out how to add the print it to the recipe, but I will work on that! If anybody has a great way to do that, I would love to hear from you so I can add it.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit! I hope you have a wonderful week.
